Committees

THAC's committees were designed for members who want to be engaged in THAC's mission and goals. Each committee has unique functions and may appeal to a variety of professionals. If you are looking to get involved, meet fellow THAC members, and work closely with our Board of Directors, then please read the following committee descriptions. You can contact the Committee Chairman directly or send a general inquiry email to Board@TxHAC.org for any questions.

Networking Committee

Chairman: Sebastian Sanchez, SSanchez@RHSB.com

The Networking Committee fosters collaboration between members and guests. The committee’s goals are inviting new guests, welcoming guests at events, personal follow up with each new member, and connecting members with appropriate opportunities. Additionally, the networking committee works closely with other committees to support their strategy, growth, sponsorship, and resources.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for identifying and recruiting prospective new members by contacting and inviting them to attend THAC meetings. We are responsible for setting up the sign-in tables at events, greeting and checking in members and guests, facilitating registration and payment for new and renewing members, and recording the attendance of members and guests at meetings.

Philanthropy Committee

Chairman: Carolyn Simons, CSimons@PearsonPartnersIntl.com

The Philanthropy Committee manages the full spectrum of THAC’s philanthropy pillar, from having the passion and heart for community service to serving as an ambassador. Our goals are to build awareness for the selected non-profit, raise funds, and coordinate activities to support each nonprofit's mission. Each quarter ends in with a Happy Hour with a Twist event, which is planned by the Philanthropy committee. We also work closely with the Corporate Sponsorship and Networking Committees.
